Many of us as clinicians started working with the neuromonitor amplitude-integrated EEG (aEEG) in Neonatology, because we saw the opportunity to improve the neurodevelopmental outcome of our small and vulnerable patients. Once your interest is stimulated in this field, you soon discover, that there is much more we could do, but this requires us to challenge our daily routine of work, rather than just adopting a single approach. In addition, especially with challenging hemodynamic situations, near-infrared spectroscopy (NIRS) also has a great value and potential to improve outcome and individual care.
This conference is set to offer a comprehensive workshop for starters as well as already experienced users to learn about the complexities and applications of both aEEG and NIRS. The faculty is assembled of renown experts in the field, giving you a unique opportunity to learn from the basis of extensive experience. Besides the focus on the field of Neonatology, we also give an insight on the potential benefits for pediatric intensive care medicine.
It is my pleasure to welcome you to our international workshop in Munich, Germany, to join in the efforts to improve our approach and care in regards to neuromonitoring and I am totally convinced, that this will be a unique and rich learning experience for us all.
